The Partner/Principal role, collectively known as consultants, is the main source of business for the firm. They have strong business development and client management skills, balanced by disciplined execution, inspiring team leadership, business acumen and the sense of urgency required to respond sensitively to clients’ needs.

Associates are integral members of search execution teams, combining research, consultative, and advocacy skills to deliver extraordinary service to Hunt Executive Search clients.

Associates partner with consultants on every search, assisting with the development of search strategy, constructing target lists of companies and candidates, coordinating internal and external research resources, contacting high-potential prospects, writing position specifications, conducting candidate interviews, completing progress reports, and documenting candidate qualifications and references. Additional business development, research, and counseling activities may occur in support of specific client or general firm initiatives.

Engagement Managers run search and consulting projects on behalf of Partners. They develop client relationships and identify new opportunities. This is a development role bridging the gap between Associate and Consultant, mentoring and training less experienced colleagues.

Executive Assistants (EAs) provide project and business administration support to the search team including: document preparation and management, scheduling and planning of interviews and meetings, finance, correspondence and file management. An integral part of an EA’s role is problem solving within the search execution and administrative process.

Research Assistants are active members of client service teams, gathering, synthesizing, and presenting information and data associated with client engagements and market opportunities. They help develop search strategy, and build internal knowledge of industries, companies and executives. Research Assistants can be included on business development activities and develop in-depth knowledge of given industry sectors and /or functional specialties.

We welcome interns to the firm for 10 – 12 weeks during the summer for intensive paid internships. Interns perform research and other project roles in support of client commitments through formal inclusion on teams with our consultants, associates and researchers.

At the end of the summer, outstanding performers may be offered full-time research positions following graduation.

Ideally candidates will have a strong academic record (minimum 3.4 GPA), good research, analytic and communication skills (evidenced through academics, extracurriculars and job experience), have demonstrated leadership ability, well-rounded interests and enjoyed balancing the demands of numerous competing responsibilities.
